Tonight marks another milestone in Paul's involvement in the 'Star Wars' franchise. Paul attended the cast and crew screening of "The Rise of Skywalker." Along with the talented music prep team for the film, Paul spent many months preparing and orchestrating the scores, working from John Williams' incredibly detailed pencil sketches.

FAMILY GUY & AMERICAN DAD
Recording sessions for "Family Guy" and "American Dad" continue.
Paul has played violin on many episodes of "Family Guy" and "American Dad" over the past five seasons. He is quite happy to play in the studio orchestras for these long-running animated shows.

THE ORVILLE
Paul played violin on and orchestrated the score to "The Orville."
Paul is thrilled to continue playing violin, and now orchestrating on Seth MacFarlane's TV comedy, "The Orville." With fantastic new orchestral scores by legendary film composers Bruce Broughton (along with John Debney, Joel McNeely and Andrew Cottee), Paul performed on both the underscore and the show's original Main Title Theme.

Paul orchestrates on John Debney's new Musical
Paul spent some time orchestrating a portion of composer John Debney's new musical 'My Silent Night,' which will premiere in Salzburg this month. Most of the score was orchestrated by Kevin Kaska, but Paul arranged and orchestrated several songs for the musical as well.

THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Live Concert to picture at the Hollywood Bowl.
Paul is delighted to be playing violin at the Hollywood Bowl for one of his favorite film scores, "The Nightmare Before Christmas" live to picture. Danny Elfman, Catherine O'Hara and Paul Reubens will all sing their original roles. This is the 4th time that Paul has performed on this annual Halloween season concert.

Paul played violin in the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra this summer
Paul played on several fantastic concerts at the Hollywood Bowl this summer, including concerts featuring Kenny Loggins & Michael McDonald – and also a fun performance of John Williams' iconic score to "Jaws" live to picture!

Paul orchestrates on the latest "Star Wars" film
Though composer John Williams did not write the entire score to this film, he contributed a new theme for Han Solo and some fully orchestrated material for the film. Film composer John Powell used Williams' theme for the final score. Paul spent several weeks working from Williams' pencil sketches on the theme and some score elements.

Another great John Williams Score
Paul is very proud to continue his work on John Williams' scores! The latest release is the Steven Spielberg film, 'The Post.' Paul (and the entire music prep team) spent several months orchestrating, proofreading and copying this score, working from Willams' detailed pencil sketches.

HOLLYWOOD MUSIC IN MEDIA AWARDS
'Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of our Lives' wins a Hollywood Music in Media Award!
Paul is ecstatic to announce that he and director Chris Perkel have won a Hollywood Music in Media Award for their work on 'Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of our Lives!' The documentary won for "Best Musical Documentary / Special Program." Paul accepted the award with producer Michael Bernstein at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood. Many thanks to the entire team behind the film including Scott Free Productions, IM Global and Apple Music.

WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY VISIT
Paul returns home to guest-lecture at his Alma Mater, WSU
Paul is thrilled to return back to his hometown, Pullman! After many years of living and working in Hollywood, Paul had the pleasure of being asked back to guest-lecture and present at Washington State University. While in Pullman, Paul taught courses in Film Composition, Orchestration, Life as a Studio Musician, Entrepreneurship & Networking. He also performed music from 'Breaking Through' with the WSU Symphony Orchestra. Many thanks to Allegro at WSU, and piano major Garrett Snedeker who helped organize the event and performed alongside Paul at the piano.

60TH ANNUAL GRAMMY® AWARDS
Paul's album 'Breaking Through' considered for the 60th Annual Grammy® Awards.
This year, Paul became a voting member of The Recording Academy (The Grammys®) and saw his solo piano & orchestra album, 'Breaking Through' considered for the awards. A difficult campaign was launched and many new friends in music were made in the process.

CLIVE DAVIS: THE SOUNDTRACK OF OUR LIVES
Paul composed the original score for new documentary about music industry legend Clive Davis.
The documentary is opening the 2017 TriBeCa Film festival at Radio City Music Hall. The soundtrack for the film consists of 20 minutes of original score by Paul Henning, along with many songs from the incredible artists Clive Davis discovered and nurtured throughout his famed career.

ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY
Paul played violin on the score to the latest "Star Wars" film.
Paul was thrilled to play violin on the recording sessions for "Rogue One" at Sony Studios during the first several weeks of November. Kudos to Michael Giacchino for pulling this score together in one month's time!

THE BFG
Steven Spielberg's new film, "The BFG" opened today.
As part of the music team for "The BFG," Paul spent over 5 months working directly with composer John Williams's pencil sketches, engraving and orchestrating the final scores for the film. John Williams is an incredible talent, writing all his music with a pencil and paper at the piano.
His new score is a magical representation of Roald Dahl's original story. Paul first started working on the orchestrations for the film in late 2015 while on vacation for the holidays.

BARBRA STREISAND
Recording sessions take place for Barbra Streisand's new album.
Paul had the pleasure of playing violin on Barbra Streisand's upcoming album, "Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway." As expected, Bill Ross's arrangements were wonderful and lush. And Barbra... she's a true artist who is still at the top of her game.
Paul also played violin on her last album, "Partners" and live at the Hollywood Bowl in 2013.

ICE AGE: COLLISION COURSE
Recording sessions begin for the newest "Ice Age."
Paul had the pleasure of playing violin on composer John Debney's frenetic and rompous new addition to the "Ice Age" franchise. Debney conducted a large studio orchestra at 20th Century Fox Studios, with orchestrations by Kevin Kaska.

Sessions begin for the upcoming blockbuster film.
Recording sessions started this morning for the upcoming installment of the "X-Men" series. John Ottman is the composer, with the help of twin composers Jason and Nolan Livesay. Paul also played violin on the last "X-Men" film, "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

AGENT CARTER
Recording sessions wrap for season 2 of Marvel's "Agent Carter."
Recording sessions for the second season of "Agent Carter" wrapped today at Warner Brothers Studios. Christopher Lennertz – a composer whose scores Paul has played on many times – composed the score for the show.

THE GOOD DINOSAUR
Recording Sessions finish for Pixar's new film.
Paul had the pleasure of playing violin on the orchestral recording sessions for Michael & Jeff Danna's score to the upcoming Pixar film, "The Good Dinosaur." The sessions took place at Warner Brothers Studios over the past week.

TED 2
Recording sessions for Seth MacFarlane's "TED 2" begin.
Orchestra recording sessions started this morning at Fox Studios and will continue through this week and next. Paul is playing violin in the orchestra. Composer Walter Murphy is writing a hilarious and fun score like he did with the first "Ted," in addition to his regular TV gig "Family Guy."

VARÈSE SARABANDE: "Back in Time...1985 at the Movies"
Recording sessions finished today for the album.
The sessions took place at 20th Century Fox Studios for a new release from label Varèse Sarabande featuring film scores from the year 1985. Many of these were favorites of Paul's growing up, such as "Back to The Future" and "The Goonies." It was great fun for Paul to play violin on these recording sessions and he is looking forward to performing the same selections with the Golden State Pops Orchestra in June 2015.

E.T. Live in Concert!
Work continues on preparing John Williams' score for live concert.
Over the past several weeks Paul has been working on engraving, editing and proofreading a portion of the original score from 1982's "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial" to be performed live with orchestra and film. He remembers vividly seeing this wonderful movie in the theater in 1982, and has always loved John Williams' soaring score to the film. It is a great honor for Paul to be working on this project.

The recording sessions have finished for composer Brian Tyler's score.
Paul played violin on the recording sessions for this film, which began in December at Warner Bros. Studios, ending with a final session today. He has seen this film come full circle, having also played piano for actor Paul Walker's memorial service last spring.

Composer Alan Silvestri is creating a concert version for orchestra with film projection.
Paul has spent much of the past month helping engrave the original pencil scores from "Back to the Future." The original full scores were completed by orchestrator James Campbell and have needed to be adapted for live orchestral performance. Having seen the film in the theater in 1985, Paul has enjoyed revisiting Alan Silvestri's memorable score. Significant cues that Paul worked on were "85 Twin Pines Mall," and the wonderful 10 minute "Clock Tower" sequence near the end of the film.
